'Peas' check out this wonderful new children's book written by local Oviedo Librarian Diane E. Keyes. This is my new FAVORITE children's book, my Little Macs and I giggled with delight throughout the entire book. Even the back cover is hilarious!
This book has a fresh contemporary twist on the classic tale of The Princess and the Pea. It is an incredibly well written rhyming story that will have both parent and child grinning from ear to ear! It tells the story of a Prince in love with a fair maiden and he is determined to find out if she is a true princess. Aided by his brave Knight and an extremely helpful mouse the Princes goes through great lengths to administer the ultimate Princess test. Will the Maiden sleep with a pea under her mattress? How about some cheese, or a cake or even a melon?!? Will the Prince be able to marry his true love?! Run don't walk to get a copy of this book to find out! I promise you will not be disappointed.
Also don't miss the chance to meet the author at one of two local library events. Ms. Keyes also runs a Central Florida non-profit organization by the name of The Literacy Alliance. She is hosting events at the Oviedo Library and the Sanford Library. At these events she will guide you through the process of writing a book and getting it published. These events will kick off National Novel Writing Month. You can also purchase Peas Let Her Be A Princess. Here are the details
Oviedo Branch ~ Tuesday October 20th 6pm-7pm
